Two Robbers Jump A Man – One Gets Shot In The Throat

Published

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA — Criminal enterprises used to be such a lucrative, easy trade.  You and your buddy get together, hide behind a dumpster or something, and wait for some some unsuspecting guy to go walking by.

That’s apparently how the robbery started off as in the 3200 block of Central Avenue of Pittsburgh, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.  Two robbers happened to see a man walking by and assumed this must be a man that needed to be robbed.

To the robbers credit, it was 11:40 pm so it must have been hard to see if their intended victim was armed or not.  When they made their mad dash for the victim – usually the easiest part of the encounter – one of them stumbled into a bullet to the throat.  The other one, not wishing for a bullet, quickly ran off where he was apprehended by police.  What’s that saying about honor amongst thieves?

The robber who caught the bullet to the throat appears to still be in critical condition.  No word on whether the proposed victim will be charged with anything.
